Police in Washington DC have been baffled about a recent attack in Northwest DC. With no leads, the Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. In a simple statement on the evening of January 15th, they pleaded with the community for help.

“On Monday, January 15, 2024, at approximately 3:05 p.m., the suspect poured a liquid on the victim at the intersection of North Capitol Street and P Street Northwest. The suspect then ignited the liquid. The suspect then ran off. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.”

In the accompanying photo, you can see a black male, 30+ years old,  with darker clothing, carrying a clear plastic bottle with a clear liquid inside it. Dressed similarly to most city sanitation workers with dark blue coveralls, a black hat, and a grey hoody over everything, it would seem that someone would likely recognize him in short order.

For the DC Metro area, this is just another in a long list of violent crimes as of late. As prices rise, and crime continues to increase, many retailers are being forced to close up shop and relocate. In December, six men raided a Chanel store. With one man using and discharging a fire extinguisher, the armed guard discharged his weapon as the assailants fled. In November, Secret Service agents opened fire on people attempting to break into an unoccupied vehicle that was connected to Biden’s granddaughter.

Because of this surge in crime, tourism to the DC area has been on a steady decline since Biden took office. In a seemingly coordinated effort, the crime has exploded in the city with the liberal leadership fully entrenched in office. Without real change, the city is doomed to continue its downward spiral.
