New Trump Team Will Crack Down on Woke Schools

On Friday, the Department of Education and the Department of Justice announced the formation of the Title IX Special Investigations Team (SIT) — a cross-agency unit tasked with stopping the spread of gender ideology in taxpayer-funded educational institutions. The mission is clear: defend women’s rights, preserve fair competition, and root out woke extremism where it’s taken hold the deepest — America’s schools.

According to the joint statement, SIT will fast-track investigations into Title IX complaints, many of which involve males participating in female sports or accessing female-only spaces. Officials described the number of recent complaints as “staggering” and said the backlog has made swift justice impossible.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon put it bluntly: “To all the entities that continue to allow men to compete in women’s sports and use women’s intimate facilities: there’s a new sheriff in town.”

McMahon explained that under previous administrations, the Office for Civil Rights took “months, even years” to handle basic Title IX cases. But the new SIT team — which includes attorneys from the DOJ and the Department of Education’s civil rights and enforcement offices — will resolve them quickly, consistently, and decisively. She also warned that federal funding could be pulled from schools and institutions that refuse to comply with federal law as interpreted by the Trump administration.

“We will not allow you to get away with denying women’s civil rights any longer,” McMahon declared in a video posted on social media.

Attorney General Pam Bondi echoed that sentiment, calling the initiative a key priority of the Justice Department.

“This collaborative effort with the Department of Education will enable our attorneys to take comprehensive action when women’s sports or spaces are threatened,” Bondi said. “We will use the full power of the law to remedy any violation of women’s civil rights.”

This is not the first major move the administration has made on this issue. On Inauguration Day, Trump signed an executive order titled “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.” It declared that only two sexes exist and that biological sex — not self-identification — would guide federal policy.

Then in February, Trump signed another EO titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” banning males from competing in female athletic competitions at any level receiving federal funds.

“The issue is not complicated,” McMahon said at the time. “This is demeaning, unfair, and dangerous to women and girls.”

These orders, and now SIT itself, reflect a growing consensus among parents and athletes across the country who are fed up with what many see as an erosion of basic fairness and privacy in schools. A recent surge in Title IX complaints signals that Americans are no longer willing to tolerate woke ideology trampling civil rights — especially when it comes to their daughters.

With SIT now officially launched, schools and universities have been put on notice. The era of ideological capture and bureaucratic foot-dragging is over. As Secretary McMahon said: “There will be consequences.”
